"The EPA's Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee has recommended that the agency set tougher restrictions on airborne dust and dirt -- "coarse particulate matter" in government speak. An EPA draft memo suggested setting allowable coarse particulate matter levels as low as 65 to 85 micrograms per cubic meter -- about half the 150 micrograms per cubic meter currently allowed under the agency's air quality standards. Such a move could cause vast areas in the West -- including parts of Idaho and California -- to violate pollution standards."

The article fails to mention that 50% Klamath County, 80% Siskiyou County, and 77% Tulelake oppose this closed-door "agreement," largely drafted by George Soros-supported radical environmental groups bent on demolishing Western hydro-dams. Glen Spain, Pacific Coast Federation of Fishermen, is on Wild Salmon Board of Directors, and is an author of the Klamath Basin Restoration Agreement, demanding removal of Klamath River Dams. Wild Salmon is focused on destroying Snake River and Columbia Basin dams. Groups such as "Zero Population Growth" are in their coalition.

2001: "About 400 farmers, farmers' wives, farmers' children, and in some cases their animals, converged on the offices of the Klamath Basin Area Office of the Bureau of Reclamation. The rally was organized to call attention to hard times to come if irrigation water fails to flow this summer. Reclamation officials have told farmers they may have no water this summer because of priorities from tribal trust obligations and the needs of endangered species that must come first." KBC NOTE: H&N didn't mention that the Bureau officials closed their office and took that day off to not hear the people. Farmers came in tractors and trucks, filling the streets in Klamath Falls. The Government found us not important enough to listen to. That year of no water resulted in foreclosures, auctions, suicides, heart attacks, mass exodus of farm labors, food banks for farmers...Later the National Academy of science said the water shutoff "WAS NOT JUSTIFIED." Lake level and river flow management would not save the suckers or salmon.

Judge nixes special irrigation permits, Capital Press 3/4/11. "The suit by Earthjustice, Klamath Riverkeeper and other environmental groups was one of two filed against the DFG in relation to the blanket permits." KBC NOTE: Earthjustice, financed partly by George Soros, represents most of the environmental groups with voting power in the Klamath Basin Restoration Agreement. Craig Tucker, spokesman for the Karuk Tribe in the KBRA, and trained by Green Corp as an environmental activist, founded Klamath Riverkeeper. He promised the KBRA would create "Peace on the River" and end lawsuits.

AN ALTERNATIVE PLAN FOR BASIN WATER AND SPECIES MANAGEMENT, 3/4/11. It is untrue that no one has a plan other than the controversial closed-door borne KBRA. Several Klamath Basin irrigators compiled these plans submitted to KBC by Tom Mallams, off Project irrigator. Many environmental groups, as well as Klamath Water Users Association, claim there are no solutions besides their KBRA.
