McClintock said the current policy is that "we have to destroy the forest in order to save it," a notion that he described as "New Age nonsense."

KBC NOTE - NFWF funds groups like American Rivers, on the KBRA stakeholder group, which sues the government, often with taxpayer money. American Rivers suit intends to demolish Snake River dams. George Soros and NFWF fund National Wildlife Federation.

"At a time when Californians are paying the highest electricity prices in the Continental United States and when officials can’t guarantee enough electricity to keep the lights on, the decision to deliberately destroy 155 megawatts of the cleanest and cheapest electricity available is simply insane.  The Klamath Agreement, if actually consummated, will rank as one of the great follies of the Schwarzenegger administration."
