Our Klamath Basin
Water Crisis
Upholding rural Americans' rights to grow food,
own property, and caretake our wildlife and natural resources.
This is just to show
how the people were ignored. People who would not
otherwise send comments gladly signed this
petition at their rural grocery store, sports
store, cafe, etc.; There were over 1400
signatures turned in before the deadline at the
last hearing...the department said there were 1600
plus comments by the day of the hearing and they
took 200 more that day. Obviously these
signatures were not counted as opposing
testimony. People who opposed the plan, the
planning process and having wolves in Oregon were
disenfranchised by the commission and agency.

If the petition is used by a group or for numerous signatures, you can print the pages needed to accommodate the number of signers and fax or mail the completed petitions to the OCA offices in Salem or mail them to the ODFW Commission. All signatures and petitions must be returned before February 10, 2005. The ODFW Commission is holding the last public hearing on that date and will make their final decision on February 11. Salem, OR 97303 EMAIL: ODFW.Comments@state.or.us PETITION to: Fish and Wildlife Commissioners The Wolf Management Plan is a people management plan. It curtails the rights of individuals to protect their pets, livestock, property and families. The losses stockmen will suffer, the predictable decline of wild ungulates that is expected from the depredation by even a small population of wolves and the cost to implement the management of wolves is unacceptable and unnecessary. Therefore, we the undersigned, oppose the adoption of the draft Wolf Management Plan by reference as administrative rule and further we oppose the adoption of the Associated Rules until they are consistent with the Wolf Advisory Committee minority reports.
