I am very disappointed with those in the community putting out false information about the two most highly recognized conservative legislators in the State of Oregon. Both Whitsetts received the highest conservative American Conservative Union awards in 2015 and 2016. I take exception to the attempt by the progressive liberals to character assassinate two people of the highest integrity.

Those candidates who say they were forced to run as Democrats raises a question as to their honesty; any qualified person can file, within the legal filing period, if they truly sought an office.

The two candidates accepting the Democrat nominations came into the election process when they were solicited by a disgruntled progressive group seeking write-in candidates. The initial write-in campaign spent upward of $100,000 in the failed election attempt for the two legislative positions.

The two Republican candidates (Linthicum and Reschke), using Democrat strategy that was used in five other legislative districts, decisively won with more than 70 percent of the respective Republican votes.

As the ballot period approaches, the progressive group will escalate funding all types of media in attempt to convince voters by consensus campaigning techniques to support the Democrat candidates.

Remember conservatives come in all sizes and shapes. True Conservatives support the Founding Fathers’ view of the U.S. Constitution supporting the rights of Americans and limiting size and intrusion of government and fiscal responsibility.

The progressive’s negative personal emotional opinions that are being expressed regarding the two Republican Party’s endorsed Republican candidates are driven by progressive ideology.
