Water deliveries end Friday, except TID

The Bureau of
Reclamation plans to shut off water deliveries to the
Klamath Reclamation Project on Friday.
Mid-October is the
typical shut-off time for the district.
Tulelake Irrigation
District will receive water orders through Oct. 29, and
the system will be shut down on Nov. 15, according to a
press release from the district.
The A Canal was
flowing at a rate of 249 cubic feet per second on
Tuesday. The Williamson River was flowing at a rate of
537 cubic feet per second on Wednesday, which is 84
percent of the long-term average
for the date.
The National Weather
Service reported that since Sept. 1, Klamath Falls has
received 0.05 inches of precipitation. The historical
average through Oct. 13 is 0.7 inches of precipitation,
which means precipitation
is
currently 93 percent lower than normal.
