ready for year was trying
By JOEL
ASCHBRENNER, Herald and News 6/8/12
“This was a very good
timely rain,” said Hollie Cannon, director of the Klamath
Water and Power Agency, adding, “If the irrigators are just
a little bit careful, I think there’s going to be enough
water.”
As of Wednesday,
year-to-date precipitation was 95 percent of historical
average.
The level of Upper
Klamath Lake, a
primary irrigation water source, as of Thursday was
4,142.11, down from 4,142.77 on the same date last year, and
up from 4,141.42 in 2010 during a moderate drought.
