"About 80 people attended the informational meeting on Klamath Dam Removal, KBRA and how it will affect Rogue Valley irrigation water and private property rights, in the Jackson County Library, Friday evening. Local talk show host Bill Meyer was the M C for the event. Presentations were given by Gary Lake and John Martinez, both from the Shasta Nation, Richard Gierak, scientist, Tom Mallams, Klamath Off-Project Water Users, Sheriff Gil Gilbertson, Josephine County and Sheriff Jon Lopey, Siskiyou County. A question and answer session followed the presentation.

Many Tribal concerns were brought up and discussed . Shasta Nation has had no input in the closed door meeting.

Three specific pages from the KBRA were displayed. These pages show some of the negative impacts to Rogue Valley irrigation water that originates from the Klamath Basin. The "West-Side Diversion," in short water years, would be halted by instream Tribal claims required for in the KBRA.

The so called "best available science" was discussed and shown to be "paid for science."

Both sheriffs spoke about private property rights being ignored and how out of control government and environmental groups are using every method possible to harm rural communities. They explained how the "Coordination Process", can stop the continuing encroachment on our Constitutional rights as citizens."
