Tie 'em to a tree so they can visit with the spotted owls

To the Editor:

Why don't we take the Sierra Club, the Environmental Protection Information Center, and the Pacific Coast Federation of Fishermen's Association members along with the Karuks (those that are in favor of taking out the dams) and invite them all to a tie party? Due to their meddling we have plenty of trees . They can each have one to which they would be tied.

They could talk to their friend spotted owl until the end of time. In this time when we are all hurting economically the Karuks have plenty of money to bring frivolous lawsuits against the state (we taxpayers) because we didn't enforce water quality standards. Well wake up out there Craig Tucker and see the writing on the wall.! We will all be lucky if we can just keep a roof over our heads and food on the table for the next few years. Right now is not the time to be moaning about water quality, suction dredging, and dam removal. Fish and Game did not kick fishermen off the river. You and yours have done that all by yourselves. And when those dams come out you will have effectively moved all the families that live along the river off of it too. Then you can have your victory dance around the fire. As fast as the Karuks get millions of dollars in grant money, they pass it on to lawyers so they can send in another lawsuit against we the tax payers from which the money came in the first place. I am asking that someone, who has the over site of these various grants that are going to the Karuks, ask what they plan to do with the money before they hand it over.
