What is the issue?
The U.S. Department of the Interior and the
California Department of Fish and Game invite the
public to submit comments on the Draft Environmental
Impact Statement and Report for the proposed removal
of four PacifiCorp dams on the Klamath River.
Proponents believe dam removal will improve salmon
runs and water quality. Opponents question the
scientific justifications and fear environmental
risks.
