Our Klamath Basin
Water Crisis
Upholding rural Americans' rights to grow food,
own property, and caretake our wildlife and natural resources.
Priorities wrong? 12/5/04 letter to editor of H&N Regarding the Herald and News Viewpoints page Nov. 26: There were two editorials on this page. The H&N view was headlined "Rim Village to get a new look, and it's about time." It dealt with Crater Lake's Rim Village getting $8.7 million to renovate the parking lot. Under "Other editors say" was, "Feeding the hungry: Oregon's 'food security' rate improves." That editorial, from the Register Guard of Eugene, said that Oregon is among the least food secure states in the nation, ranking eighth among the states in its hunger rate. Perhaps the money would be better spent to feed Oregon's hungry. Terri Dippel 2350 Homedale Road
