Tom was born in Alturas, Calif., on July 4, 1951, and brought home to the family homestead by his parents Fred and Velma Robison. He attended Tulelake schools, graduating in 1969, and continued his education at Humboldt State College, graduating in 1972. They enjoyed the shooting, friendships made, dressing the part of the Old West and even taking on new names they used at the shoots. Tom became quite well known in the shooting community, placing second at the 2008 World Championships, shooting in the “B” Western category. Together, Tom and Karen created Pacific Northwest Metal Arts, traveling the Western United States to many well-known trade shows. His name became synonymous with beautiful, well-crafted metal artwork.
