Workshops to help farmers conserve

Applications for the 206 Environmental Quality Incentive Program will be accepted through Sept. 15. Producers, farmers or ranchers who apply for this program must complete a conservation record packet.

The Natural Resources Conservation Service will conduct two workshops to assist producers. One will be held Wednesday, Aug. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Klamath Community College Board Room, and the other will be held Sept. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Merrill Civic Center meeting room.

To schedule a workshop appointment or to submit an application packet, contact NRCS or the Klamath Soil and Water Conservation district at 541 883-6932, ext. 3; or stop at the USDA Service Center in Klamath Falls.
