(YREKA) On Wednesday morning, August 24, 2005, at 9:00am our Congressman Wally Herger will address the citizens of Siskiyou County in a Town Hall meeting at the Yreka City Council Chambers on 201 North Lassen Street. He will discuss the current legislative events in Washington including the status of his proposals for ESA (Endangered Species Act) reform, known as "the Species Rescue Act." Other proposals the Congressman is currently working on and may be addressed at the meeting include Social Security Reform, Eminent Domain legislation, Foster Care System Reform and Tax Reform. The Town Hall meeting is the first to be conducted in Yreka this year. The public is invited to attend. The mission of the Siskiyou County Republican Central Committee is to support Republican candidates and to promote the platform of the Republican National Committee and the California Republican Party. Their meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday of the month at various locations around the county.
