Council meets early to observe tree lighting

     In observance of the Snowflake Festival tree lighting, Klamath Falls City Council will meet Monday for an executive session at 3:30 p.m. and for the regular meeting from 4 to 6 p.m., at City Hall, 500 Klamath Ave.

   The Klamath Falls Yacht Club will host the tree lighting at Veteran’s Memorial Park from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday.

   Members of council will consider action on the following items:

   An ordinance granting Pacific Power a non-exclusive franchise agreement with the city of Klamath Falls for five years.  

   • Authorization for the Klamath Falls Police Department to buy a $1,944.60 per month cellular service from U.S. Cellular.

   Possible support or opposition on U.S. Senate Bill 2379.

   A liquor license for Rodeo’s Pizzeria and Saladeria, 1215 Main St.
