The proposed budget, which is being developed by ODFW and a citizen budget advisory committee, calls for carrying the same basic level of staffing and programs currently in place forward into the next biennium. No fee increases are being proposed. The projected cost to provide the same programs during 2007-2009 is $237.1 million. At each town hall meeting, agency staff will present a summary of agency programs and the related base budget, then will gather public comments that will be used to help refine the budget before presenting it to the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission in July. The public is encouraged to provide comment at the town hall meetings verbally or in writing.
