Tulelake Subbasin Groundwater Sustainability Plan COMMENTS DUE November 12, 2021

KBC Note:
Please read the plan, ask questions, and send comments.

After reading The Plan, please voice your questions and concerns here on KBC Facebook page, and we welcome those familiar with the plan to share input with us. With our stored water illegally taken from us by Reclamation, our groundwater management is vital to our farms and refuges.
"In SGMA (Sustainable Groundwater Management Act), sustainable groundwater management is defined as management of groundwater supplies in a manner that can be maintained in planning and implementation phases without causing undesirable results. Undesirable results include significant and unreasonable chronic lowering of groundwater levels, reduction of groundwater storage, seawater intrusion, degraded water quality, land subsidence, and depletions of interconnected surface waters."
"Update: On behalf of the Tulelake Subbasin GSAs, MBK Engineers will be providing an overview of the public draft Groundwater Sustainability Plan during the following meetings-
10/12/2021 – Tulelake Irrigation District Board of Directors Meeting
10/19/2021 – City of Tulelake City Council Meeting
10/19/2021 – Siskiyou County Board of Supervisors Meeting
Reminder: The Tulelake Subbasin GSAs have posted the public draft Groundwater Sustainability Plan online (https://tulelakeid.com/tulelake-subbasin-groundwater.../) and are asking for any comments to be submitted by November 12, 2021. Please visit the webpage for additional information.
