Topics will include: a review of what SGMA is; the role of Department of Water Resources (DWR); Siskiyou County’s roles and responsibilities; current status of SGMA implementation; and on-going matters related to groundwater and SGMA both locally and statewide. Presenters will include Siskiyou County staff, the County’s consulting team from Larry Walker Associates and UC Davis, the DWR and more. These presenters will bring a high level of local and statewide knowledge and experience with groundwater science and SGMA implementation, so this provides an excellent opportunity for community members to ask our presenters questions and learn about the nuances of SGMA.
