Date: Saturday July 16
2005 at 7:00 PM The Trinity continues to be the Place to be for spring salmon with the Klamath right behind. Today also was the opener on the Sacramento river below the red bluff diversion dam it was a zoo as always with some nice fish caught under a ton of fishing pressure. Things will calm down on the Sacramento in the next few days and we should start to see a ton more fish move up in August and September. The Klamath is having one of its best spring seasons ever. We hope the springers will continue right up till the fall fish come in some time in August. The Trinity gave up a lot of fish today every boat I talked to had limits and lots of bank fishermen where catching them too. The best bite today was on roe. The weather remains extremely hot on the Trinity registering over 100 degrees in the afternoons. The weather over on the Klamath is a lot cooler in the high 70,s. The water continues to drop on the Klamath and the Trinity and will hit the summer flow of 450cfs soon. Thanks Tim |
