Last Thursday,
August 30,
I went fishing near Astoria on the Columbia River
with my nephew. The limit
for Coho had been 2, but there were so many fish that they raised the
limit to 4.
There was no limit on how many you could have in
your possession. The water
was thick with seals and sea lions eating the salmon.
We caught several native Coho and had to turn
them back, but the guide (my nephew) assured us that many of them would
die after being released from the trama of the hook and fighting them
into the boat.
There must have been at least 1000 boats within a
3 mile radius.
