Presently we have a
“wonderful ecosystem for a huge variety of animals and
plants...fire suppression water...series of lakes...home for
all of us...(last summer) without the lake, fires would have
jumped the river and burned (hundreds more acres)...” The
last time KRRC (Klamath dam destruction group) came out
several years ago (and) asked residents what they wanted
done post dam destruction: ‘would you like a park?, or would
you like walkways’...I don’t feel like an attempt was
made...to contact the fire department about the fire
suppression issues...we feel ignored out there in all
aspects, especially our right to speak about how we feel
about what they are doing.”
”Glen Spain (Regional
Director and attorney for PCFFA/Pacific Coast Federation of
Fishermen) said, ‘It’s not about the salmon’ “
There are more truths in this short but incredibly powerful
video about impacts to our local community....
