August 29, 2010 Dear Senator Jason Atkinson: Is it true that you have endorsed the Siskiyou Pacific Crest Monument? Do you realize how important that area is to our only operating sawmill in Cave Junction? Link Philippi, Rough and Ready Lumber Company, told me that Siskiyou County of Northern California is where the majority of his timber is from. If you intended to destroy this company and capitulate to environmental takeover of our resources, then this was your first shot, and a damn good one at that. Please tell me I heard a very bad rumor!
