Monument GMP
Public Meetings Planned

Tulelake, Calif. — The public comment
period is open for the Lava Beds National Monument
general management plan (GMP), with the public having
the option to attend two meetings and submit written
comments on proposed changes, according to a recent
press release.
Today at 6 p.m. at the Ross-Ragland Theater Cultural Center in Klamath Falls, Ore. from 6-8 p.m., members of the public can meet with the planning team and discuss ideas and concerns about the GMP changes. Wednesday, from 6:15-8 p.m. at the Tulelake Youth and Community Center, another meeting will be held for those interested. Comments about the plan can be submitted until Nov. 30, either through the website parkplanning.nps.gov or in writing to: Dave Kruse, Superintendent, Lava Beds National Monument, Attn: General Management Plan Team, P.O.
