In the early
40's this was Winema Farm's cookhouse and bunkhouse for their farm
operation. Later it was converted into a hunting lodge.
Al and Verna Herman, local residents, recently fixed up
this rustic historic landmark and created Winema Lodge with year-round food
and lodging and meeting space for locals and tourists as well. The heart and
soul of the Klamath Basin are experienced by the warmth of these people
devoted to making their guests feel at home in farmland and wildlife
habitat. These deer were yards from the
Lodge.
