November 8, 2005 Harvest had just begun in this onion field when the rains and snow came. Farmers are at the mercy of the weather every day of the growing season. Snow is welcomed after the harvest. In this case, they were at the mercy of the onion company. The farmer can do everything right, but if the onion trucks don't come before bad weather sets in, the farmer can lose his crop.
